A 2023 study found 176 bird species worldwide building nests with human-made materials, including cardboard. While no exact total

number of nests containing cardboard is available, it is indicated that cardboard is a common component, even though it poses health

risks to the birds and their chicks.

 

Every piece of cardboard has had a past life. We should never call it trash – it’s a memory.
