I spent a week driving around with a painting in my boot, looking for the right place to bring a partially formed idea to life. Lots of bins and fly-tipped lay-bys later and with an amazing sky above me, I passed this line of recycling bins on the banks of the River Severn and everything fell into place. The painting belonged to my motherin- law Vera and although it’s not the greatest work of art, some would consider it rubbish, to my family, the memories it brings are priceless and will be recycled as the painting gets passed down through the generations.
