As a reflection on my own personal consumerism of clothing garments, this piece follows a minimal design approach, contrasting with the maximalism of personal style. I wanted to consider a Picasso influenced style to my piece, combined with my enjoyment of purchasing and wearing new clothes. The wire hanger is synonymous with this theme but, within this portrait, can also be seen as a comment on the balance between clothing trend consumption and individual identity.
