I wanted to combine a couple of passions of mine – The great outdoors and geocaching. I’ve always been happiest when climbing a mountain or hiking through forests. Luckily, geocaching allows me to do this with the added bonus and excitement of discovering geocaches and the infinite objects and trinkets hidden within. Geocaching also uses a secretive language full of acronyms which no one else outside of the hobby would understand. Ten years ago I used paper maps and a compass to locate the caches, now I use a GPS device to find my treasure. The real fun though is just being outside and enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside.
