At the prime age of 4 years and 164 days, I loved fire engines (still impressed by them today). In a huge hurry to collect my favourite fire engine before going on holiday, I managed to produce an impressive superman dive (no hands) into a freshly laid road surface, resulting in collecting some of the grit in my forehead, a scar which still lives with me to this day.

This led to a slightly delayed holiday in order to be literally patched up, the photograph is of me on that holiday sporting a large plaster. In response to that trauma and my appreciation of fire engines generally, my dustbin lid is in memory of those two events.
