In nature, butterflies go through four stages of their life cycle (egg, caterpillar, pupa and adult butterfly). This remarkable transformation is known as metamorphosis. Once the adult butterfly emerges, it is ready to reproduce and begin the life cycle all over again.

 

In the manufacturing world, similar transformations can be seen in the pulp and paper industry. Paper is one of the most sustainable, renewable and recycled resources in the world. Once a paper product has been used, it can be collected, sorted, processed, and then transformed into new paper products, helping to support a circular economy.
