Most people have a cupboard in their house full of plastic bags just sitting there. Mainly unused. It can take 1,000 years for a single plastic bag to decompose in landfill. Unfortunately, plastic bags don’t break down completely but instead become microplastics that continue to pollute our planet. Taking inspiration from this, I have created two pieces out of hundreds of shredded plastic bags. Representing the plastic that we are leaving behind in both the land and sea.
