As a child every year we would take our family holidays on a little coastal campsite in Trefor, Wales. The beach there is a mixture of small pebbles and sand, sheltered by low clay cliffs which periodically crumbles into the sea. We would spend hours making small clay sculptures out of what had been washed up or had crumbled away. Taking inspiration from this, I’ve gone back to my childhood to create these three small portraits out of this same clay.
