Sunlit Roots is a tactile artwork created from everyday pegs that belonged to my mum, reimagined as a tribute to maternal love and the symbolic power of sunflowers, our favourite flower. 

 

Inspired by my mum – her strength, warmth, and quiet resilience – this piece reflects the way love is built from small, repeated acts. Each peg represents a moment, a memory. Together they form a unified bloom. The repetition of form and material speaks to the rhythm of home life, the beauty in routine, and the roots that hold us steady as we grow.
